Does Islam Care for the the Environment?

The concept of the environment in Islam is a comprehensive one, as it includes the whole universe that Almighty Allah has created and put in the service of man. Islam orders to preserve this trust and do the effort to make better of it. Allah (glory be to Him) stated in the Qur’an that man is His successor on the earth. Allah says, And (remember) as your Lord said to the Angels, “Surely I am making in the earth a successor. ( Al-Baqarah 2:30) The Qur’an prohibits a Muslim to cause corruption in the earth , Almighty Allah says, And seek not corruption in the earth. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters.
